Purpose
The core business of The Event Box depends upon us managing personal data on behalf of our clients.
Data Protection laws and our clients' compliance standards demand that we manage personal data in an appropriate manner.
This privacy policy gives information on:
  • Why we collect your personal information
  • The information we hold, how we use it and how we keep it secure and
  • The circumstances under which we delete this information.
The Event Box is committed to protecting any personal information that we collect concerning you. We recognise that it is your information.
Types of personal information we collect
We collect the minimum amount of information that we need to run The Event Box effectively. This information comes directly from the information you provide when you register your interest either via the web page, or following a face to face discussion (for example at a Conference or Trade Show).
Processing and consent
When we ask for personal data we will outline how we will use and manage it and, where appropriate, ask for your consent to do so. We will not use this personal data for other purposes without asking your permission. We will not keep this information for longer than necessary. We will not use third parties to process your data without taking reasonable steps to ensure they comply with UK Data Protection legislation and EU General Data Protection Regulation. We will never sell your data to third parties.

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK Data Protection legislation.
Data location and security
The Event Box is committed to protecting and safeguarding the personal information you entrust us with. Your personal data is collected and stored securely subject to appropriate security measures and is protected against misuse.

We will keep your information only for as long as is necessary subject to regulatory requirements and for the purposes set out in this privacy policy or to fulfil our legal obligations. We will not and do not want to keep more information than we need or for longer than we need.

If you are a subscriber to our regular eNewsletters, we will delete your personal information from our electronic files and databases when you notify us that you want to end your subscription to Infologic Design eNewsletter. If you are not a subscriber we will delete your personal information from our electronic files and databases when you notify us that you withdraw consent for us to hold your data. In both cases we must however keep a list of names of those who have withdrawn consent. For us to comply with regulatory information requirements from the Inland Revenue, for example, we may need to keep hold of your data for a specific period. After this period, the data will be destroyed.

Your personal data is held in electronic form. Electronic data is held on secure servers operated by Infologic Design, and in some circumstances, on servers owned by third-party contractors. We ensure that any third party contractors we use comply with the UK Data Protection legislation and EU General Data Protection Regulations. We do not transfer your data outside the EEA.

Contact forms and other data in paper form is likewise held securely and destroyed securely.

If you share our content through social media by liking us on Facebook it will record that you have done so. They may set a cookie for this purpose. As is the case for all cookies, we cannot access those set by social networks. Social networks cannot access cookies we set ourselves.
Log files
Our systems may automatically gather some anonymous information about visitors, including IP addresses, browser type, language, and the times and dates of webpage visits. The data collected does not include personally identifiable information. It is used, as described above, for statistical analysis, to understand user behaviour, and to administer the site.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). The information generated by the cookie about the use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating how our website is being accessed, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The only data in such a report is purely statistical (such as number of visitors per page, countries when visitors are based etc), and no data that can be associated with any individual is reported. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
